Staying put...

Updated: Jul 13, 2020

Happy Monday, Everyone!

I'm happy to report we are still nestled in the gorgeous central California coastline. After living and traveling in the trailer for over 8 months now, we have come to appreciate the joy of staying put for a while. States all have different restrictions, I think one thing we can all agree on is wearing a mask when you are 6feet or closer to others is smart and here, in the Golden State, they're mandatory. It will take a mass effort to slow the spread, and contact tracing keeps tracing cases back to unmasked gatherings. Not unlike these unmasked trouble makers. Obviously, they didn't receive the memo!

A Hike a day

Another bonus of remaining in an area for at least a few weeks is getting to know the land and community. We have been busy spending some of our free time hitting the local trails and beaches and trying to keep them clean.

The scenery is so beautiful, it makes the work quite enjoyable. I have to say though, this picture was by far my favorite. : )

The ocean is my happy place. Even when work is bogging us down and the to-do list seems never-ending, we make it a point to step away at some point during the day and let nature wash her healing energy over us. Lately, laptop screens have been straining my eyes more than usual. Funny how they feel so much better after a break outside! I have to keep reminding myself we weren't meant to use electronics all day. I must walk outside and get some fresh air.

Had to snap a photo when we came across this abandoned boat. Wish I knew the backstory to share with you all, you'll have to settle for photo evidence. It makes me wonder how long it has been "staying put", what would you guess? I'll say... 20-30 years? Should it be removed? I think so.

A face to the name

You probably remember that I am making a medical documentary. The title is LIFE INVERTED. This film is personal to me as it details conditions I have struggled with since at least the 1980s. I am happy to announce that we now have a poster design ready to share. And drum roll please! Here it is...

Sound off in the comments and let me know your thoughts.

Looking forward to your feedback. Thank you for checking in this week, I so hope you enjoy what's left of the weekend and find some time for yourself. You'll be able to find me on one of the dozens of trails nearby.

In good health
